In the summer of 2018 I spent two weeks in the South of France. It was not my first time but I saw a lot of new villages and cities. I drove to the coast to see a beautiful small place called Cassis, walked to the highest point of Avignon to see the beautiful sight, saw the center of ‘Saintes-Marie de la Mer and was amazed by the amazing neighborhoods in Marseille.
Almost everybody knows the song of this city. ‘Sur le pont d’Avignon, L’on y danse, l’on y danse, Sur le pont d’Avignon, L’on y danse tout en rond.’ I’ve been here when I was a kid but only remembered the famous bridge. I forgot how beautiful this city is. So many streets with different vibes and the view on the highest point in the ‘Rocher des Doms’ park is absolutely amazing!
This small village is located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It was very crowded with tourists while I was there. But that’s common in the summer. I walked a little bit further and explored an almost empty beach where I took a refreshing dive in the ocean.
I flew back from Marseille and had a full day to explore this big city. It has so many different neighborhoods but my favorite was Le Panier. The small streets full of wall art and galleries and other creative shops just gave me a very cozy and comforting feeling.
One of the most importend things in life for me is nature. I go there to recharge, release, be amazed and stunned because Mother Nature is the most powerful thing in this world.
